Sketch to Concept

Great design starts with a clear message. Before form, function, or finish — I ask what the design should say. My process begins with a question: How do we want people to feel? From that message, everything else flows. At the core of my work is a belief that design is communication. A beautiful space or striking visual means little if it doesn’t connect. I work closely with clients to clarify the message first — then build a visual language to support it. Sketching is my shorthand way of externalising ideas. It allows me to communicate direction clearly, quickly, and without ambiguity. Clients often see the raw sketches — not as a final outcome, but as an invitation to collaborate and shape the vision. SketchUp helps me turn ideas into immersive spatial concepts. It’s fast, intuitive, and practical — ideal for exhibitions, pavilions, museums, or even masterplans. I refine and iterate in 3D, then use Enscape to generate photorealistic renders and walkthroughs.
