This inaugural photographic fair in the region was commissioned by The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards and curated by the world-renowned International Photography Association.
The Dubai Photo Exhibition was a series of bespoke outdoor pavilions containing stunning and rare photographic collections from around the world, seamlessly woven into the surrounding architecture of the Dubai Design District. The four main pavilions were divided into a series of connected galleries all with museum grade lighting and climate control to ensure the stability of the collections... some of which were priceless.
I am so incredibly proud of this project, because in the face of real adversity from the extreme typhoon like weather we encountered, to all the logistical challenges it was done in 22 days... start to finish! A truly remarkable team effort both on the client side (especially Lili Khambashi) and our own stoic warriors including Thorsten Dolinski and of course, the unwavering Mr Mike Hanna.
